ALBANY – Legislation signed into law by Governor Cuomo will allow the Village of Montgomery to discontinue the parkland designation for 4 ¾ acres of land so that a solar farm can be developed.
Senator William Larkin (R, Cornwall-on-Hudson) sponsored the legislation along with Assemblyman Brian Miller (R, New Hartford).
Mayor Stephen Brescia said the village will now move forward with “our vision to use this parcel of parkland for the installation and operation of solar panels.”
