TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE –
Police charged a City of Poughkeepsie man with murder in the death of
Jill Meltzer, 49, at Hudson Harbour Apartments in the Town of Poughkeepsie
last Thursday, August 17.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the preliminary cause of death was strangulation and further studies are being conducted as their investigation continues.
Police arrested Charles D’Amico, 58, on Saturday. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
Authorities did not say if they knew each other.
