TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE –
Police have charged a 58-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man with murder
in connection with the death of Jill Meltzer, 49, at Hudson Harbour Apartments
last Thursday, August 17.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the preliminary
cause of death was strangulation and further studies are being conducted
as their investigation continues.
Police arrested Charles D’Amico on Saturday. He was arraigned and
remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
Authorities did not say if they knew one another.
