STONY POINT – The man killed when his bicycle ran off the road on a steep portion of Buckberg Road in Stony Point Saturday morning has been identified by town police as Hilario Galvez, 53, of New Milford, New Jersey.
He was riding with a group of eight friends when his bike crashed into a wooded area resulting in his death.
Police said they do not believe any other bikes or vehicles were involved in the incident.
Speed, road terrain and condition and mechanical failure are being considered as possible factors. An autopsy is pending.
