Goshen Village officials were aided by a State Police helicopter
in their search for the break

VILLAGE OF GOSHEN – A water main break in the Village of Goshen
Friday morning resulted in the shutdown of all Orange County Government
offices in the village. Goshen is the county seat.

Village crews with assistance from the county and a State Police helicopter
located the source of the break and are in the process of repairing it.
Mayor Kyle Roddey said some residents are seeing water pressure return.

The village declared a state of emergency in order to proactively resolve
the problem.

The declaration will require residents to conserve water – no outside
use, irrigation and the like – so that the system can refill quickly.
The village also advised residents to boil water for at least two minutes
prior to using it for either drinking or food preparation.

The boil water advisory will remain in effect until the Orange County
Department of Health declares otherwise.
