KINGSTON – A Saugerties man was sentenced in Ulster County Court on Thursday to 22 years to life in state prison on his conviction for the May 26, 2016 murder of a man who he found in bed with his wife.
Earl Edwards, Jr., 27, pled guilty to stabbing Rameen Perry to death in Saugerties when he broke into his wife’s apartment and found the two together.
Edwards fled the area after the murder. He was found in Maryland and extradited back to New York.
He was identified as the assailant by his wife, who survived the attack when she barricaded herself behind a closet door.
