New Jersey man arrested on Thruway with three pounds of pot

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A West New York, New Jersey man has been charged
with felony possession of marijuana after the car in which he was riding
was stopped on the Thruway in the Town of Newburgh just before 11:30 p.m.
on Wednesday for vehicle and traffic violations.

Police found some three pounds of marijuana in his car and arrested Edison
Ramos-Garcia.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,500
cash bail or bond.

The driver was issued traffic tickets and released.
