POUGHKEEPSIE – Mayor Robert
Rolison is going to name an interim city administrator now that Deborah
McDonnell announced she would leave at the end of the month to assume
the role of village manager in Ossining. She told Rolison of her decision
on Monday.

McDonnell, who was on the job in Poughkeepsie for just eight months, could
very well hold the record for the shortest tenured city administrator
in the Queen City’s history, said Alderman Christopher Petsas, who
said she must have been searching for a new job months into her Poughkeepsie
post. He termed the situation “bizarre.”

Rolison, meanwhile, said he will have internal discussions at City Hall
as to a course of action going forward and will appoint a temporary administrator
from within the ranks of city employees.
