BREWSTER – State Police from the Brewster barracks are seeking the public’s assistance to help locate Hector Cruz-Diaz, 35. of Danbury, Connecticut, who is wanted for an attempted rape and burglary, both felonies.
The reported sexual assault happened at a residence on Main Street in the Village of Brewster. An investigation indicated that Cruz-Diaz unlawfully entered the victim’s home and attempted to rape the 24-year-old female victim. The suspect, who was an acquaintance of the victim, fled prior to police arriving.
Last month, Village of Brewster Court issued a warrant ordering the suspect’s arrest.
Cruz-Diaz is male, Hispanic, 5’3” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Cruz-Diaz has previously resided in Putnam County and Danbury, Connecticut.
