Sears employee charged with fudging returns, pocketing the money

NEW CITY – An employee at the Sears at the Shops in Nanuet was
arrested on Tuesday and charged with felony grand larceny.

Clarkstown Police allege Carlentz Desire, 21, of Spring Valley with creating
false returns in the store register and transferring the money onto his
debit card. The transactions totaled $5,483.

Desire was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property
and falsifying business records, all as felonies.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $2,500
bail.
