Rep. Faso’s comments in the House
WASHINGTON – Congressman John Faso (R, NY-19) has secured language
in legislation that will ensure Whaley Lake Dam in Pawling has the ability
to apply for grant funding from the Army Corps of Engineers.
“After a decade of being caught in Washington red tape, the Pawling
community will finally have the opportunity to seek the necessary funding
to fix its dam,” Faso said.
“This is a vital project, and without this bill, the hard working
taxpayers in our district could see a significant tax increase,”
said Pawling Town Supervisor David Kelly. “This project has taken
years of planning and preparation and now, with the help of Congressman
Faso, we look forward to the completion of the dam and a renewed commitment
to improving infrastructure not only here in Pawling, but across the state.”
