URGENT arrests man on drug charges

KINGSTON – A Newburgh man,
who was currently living in the City of Kingston, was arrested by the
URGENT Task Force Friday evening after police conducted a buy-bust operation.
Willie Bryant, 38, was arrested after investigators received a tip that he was selling heroin and fentanyl in the vicinity of East Union Street in Kingston. Police recovered 24 bags of heroin and six bags of fentanyl as a result.
Bryant was charged with felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also had two active arrest warrants against him from Marlboro and Hyde Park Town Police departments from unrelated investigations. He faces other potential drug charges from URGENT.
Bryant was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond pending a future court appearance.
