NEWBURGH – The $8 million state grant that St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital was awarded will provide the facilities with funding to move forward with its 21st century health care model, said hospital President Joan Cusack McGuirk.
She said the hospital will invest the money to continue providing the best care to the community.
“This funding will provide St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital the opportunity to enhance and expand services, ensuring that our partners are getting the right care at the right time in the right setting in a cost-effective fashion, obviously quality always being in the forefront,” McGuirk said. “It will also allow the campuses in both Newburgh and Cornwall to move forward in a more systemized model as a member of the Montefiore Healthcare System.”
The state Department of Health provided the funding for the SLCH and
nine other institutions in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
