PLATTEKILL – A Brooklyn man was arrested for drug possession following a traffic stop on I-87 in the Town of Plattekill.
State police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 12:20 a.m. on Friday, July 21 and arrested a passenger, Eliselia Pizarro, 31, when he was found in possession of some 83 grams of cocaine and two grams of marijuana. He was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Pizarro was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
The driver of the vehicle was issued a traffic ticket and release.
