Three teens arrested for shoplifting over $1,700 worth of merchandise

TOWN OF ULSTER – Three
teens were arrested by Town of Ulster Police for stealing $1,719 worth
of merchandise from the Wal-Mart store on Frank E. Sottile Boulevard.

Arrested on Sunday, July 16 were a 17-year-old female from Paw Paw, Michigan,
an 18-year-old female from Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and a 14-year-old
juvenile female whose hometown was not released by police.

According to Wal-Mart asset protection, the females acted together, filled
a shopping cart with merchandise and walked out without paying for it.

The 17- and 18-year-olds were charged with felony grand larceny and the
misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child and conspiracy. Both
were remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or
$5,000 bond.

The juvenile will be petitions to appear in Ulster County Family Court.
