Maloney leads moment of silence for 16 service members killed in Mississippi plane crash

WASHINGTON – Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY-18) has led the House of Representatives in a moment of silence in memory of the 16 servicemen killed when their Stewart Marine Corps-based KC-130 plane crashed in Mississippi.
Nine of those killed were based at the Stewart Air National Guard Base in the Town of Newburgh.
Maloney was joined by Rep. Walter Jones, who represents Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and Rep. Steven Palazzo, who represents the district where the plane crashed in Mississippi.
