WEST HURLEY – A trucking
company believed responsible for recently dumping alleged illegal materials
from a New York City Police shooting range near a private home in Wawarsing,
had a trucking mishap on a West Hurley road on Monday, July 17.
In the most recent incident, the driver of the tractor-dump trailer was
headed to the construction yard of Woodstock Construction on Basin Road
when the dump trailer overturned spilling its load onto Basin Road and
its shoulder.
Police and fire departments responded to the overturned truck incident
Emergency services personnel arrived around 9:30 a.m. to contain fuel
leaking from the truck’s tank.
West Hurley Fire Department, State Police, State Environmental Conservation
Police, and New York City Department of Environmental Protection Police
were also on the scene.
It took until about noon for the trailer to be uprighted and the debris
cleared from the road.
