KINGSTON – A Rosendale man is accused of sexually assaulting two girls.
Authorities arrested David Vega-Soto, 38, on June 30 after investigators from the Ulster County Child Advocacy Center began looking into a report that girls, ages 12 and six had been sexually assaulted in the early morning hours of June 25.
Vega-Soto was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of sexual abuse and one count of criminal sexual act. He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims.
The investigation was conducted by the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office and the Family and Child Advocacy Center, which is comprised of investigators from the DA’s Office, State Police, Sheriff’s Office and Ulster County Child Protective Services.
