Fire damages Hyde Park apartments

HYDE PARK – Fire of unknown
origin gutted one apartment and caused heat damage to three others on
Sunday morning.

Several residents were treated at the scene by Northern Dutchess Paramedics
for burns, smoke inhalation, difficulty breathing and asthma attack. One
person was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Hyde Park Fire Chief Steve Wilcha said the blaze, which was reported at
8:22 a.m., brought firefighters to Hyde Park Heights at 107 East Market
Street.

Apartment A-8 was destroyed.

Hyde Park and Fairview firefighters kept the fire to the one apartment
that was destroyed.
