MONTICELLO – A Monticello man has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of Douglas Malone, 59, of Spring Street in Monticello.
Charles Curio, 56, of 7 High Street in the village was arrested on Tuesday, June 13. He is accused of stabbing Malone whose body was discovered behind 9 High Street on by construction workers on the morning of Saturday, June 3.
An autopsy showed Malone died of several stab wounds.
No motive has been given for the murder
Curio was arraigned and sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail pending a further court action.
The case was investigated by Monticello Police and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
