Three arrested on drug charges in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS – Search warrants executed at two locations in the City of Port Jervis last Friday resulted in the arrests of three people on drug charges.
Charles Dessasure, 36, and Tanika Hawkins, 39, both of 103 East Main Street, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and criminal possession of drugs, all as felonies, as well as misdemeanor possession of drugs and marijuana, as well as criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Police recovered cocaine, marijuana, concentrated cannabis oil, codeine, digital scales and packaging materials as well as over $7,000 in cash.
Both Dessasure and Hawkins were sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail each.
Tina McDaniel, 33, of 178 Front Street, Apartment 2 in Port Jervis was charged in a separate warrant search with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell as a felony as well as misdemeanor drug possession and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. She is alleged to have sold crack cocaine during an undercover police operation.
McDaniel was jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail.
The investigations and arrests were made by Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group and were prosecuted by the office of District Attorney David Hoovler.
