NEW WINDSOR – A Long Island company is seeking financial incentives from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency to build a $33.9 million assisted living facility on land in the Town of New Windsor.
CNW Real Estate came before the IDA on Thursday and IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso said the company is seeking the standard financial help.
“They are looking for a 10-year PILOT, sales tax exemption and a mortgage tax exemption,” Villasuso said. The proposal will now come before a public hearing. “They are looking to create about 132 jobs here locally.”
The project would be built on a former golf driving range on Windsor Highway.
