ELLENVILLE – A North Branch woman is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail after her arrest in connection with the theft of $6,600 from a safe in an Ellenville apartment on Sunday.
Police were told someone broke into the senior citizen apartments at 199 Canal Street and stole the money from a safe that contained $10,000.
Fast police work identified Natasha Snyder, 35, as a suspect and when questioned, she confessed to stealing the money. She was charged with felony grand larceny.
The investigation is continuing and further arrests are possible, police said.
