MAMARONECK – State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident on Interstate 95 at exit 18B (Mamaroneck Ave) at 12:42 a.m. on Monday, June 5.
Troopers said Maicol Encarnacion Garcia, 20, of Richmond Hill, was outside his car changing a tire when he was struck by a tandem tractor-trailer that left the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Hawthorne at 914-769-2600. All calls will be kept confidential.
