O’Donnell: “Peace out.
Fight Trump”

NYACK –  Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul and comedienne Rosie O’Donnell came to Nyack on Wednesday, checks in hand, for the redevelopment of the former Nyack Elks’ Club building into the future home of the Pride House for the LGBTQ community.
Hochul brought a check for $250,000 for the future Pride facility.
“A place of freedom, a place of love and a place to celebrate diversity,” she said.
Rockland County Executive Edwin Day said the center will be a focal point of Nyack.
“As the Pride Center takes shape, this building is being transformed into a new gathering place for the community, a place of pride for the LGBTQ community,” Day said.
O’Donnell, a resident of Nyack, also pledged funding.
“I am going to leave you with more money today because that is what we should all do. So, I am going to send another check and I hope everybody here can give what they can,” O’Donnell said, signing off: “Peace out. Fight Trump. Resistance. Goodbye.”
