NEW PALTZ – A 24-year-old
Highland man was committed to the Ulster County Jail after he was apprehended
following a gas station parking lot robbery in New Paltz.
Khaliq Jones was charged with felony robbery and attempted assault as
a misdemeanor.
He was arrested after he fled in a car following the 2:20 a.m. robbery
on Friday, May 26. A male victim told New Paltz Police he had been assaulted
and robbed. The victim was treated for minor injuries.
Jones was remanded on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
The investigation is continuing and New Paltz Police asks anyone who may
have information about the incident to call the detective division at
