Dutchess man charged with manslaughter in fatal road rage stabbing

MOUNT PLEASANT – A 21-year-old Pleasant Valley man is in the Westchester
County Jail being held without bail facing a manslaughter charge after
he stabbed another man in deadly a road rage incident.

State Police said Daniel Siino, 28, of Hartsdale had been in a road rage
incident at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 with another motorist,
identified as Christian Walczyk, of Pleasant Valley. It turned physical
and Walczyk stabbed Siino in the chest. Siino returned to his vehicle
and his passenger began driving him to the hospital while calling 911.
State troopers and emergency services personnel located and rendered aid
to Siino, who was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he died.

Walczyk, meanwhile, had also left the scene and called 911. He was located
nearby and arrested on a charge of manslaughter.

State Police were assisted in the investigation by Town of Mount Pleasant
Police, Village of Briarcliff Manor Police and the Westchester County
District Attorney’s Office.
