Newkirk
KINGSTON – A surveillance operation on Broadway near Delaware Avenue in Kingston resulted in the arrest of a Kingston woman on several drug-related charges.
Kingston City Police arrested Shelby Newkirk, 24, on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance as both a felony and misdemeanor, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Police did not identify the weapon.
The drug charges related to heroin possession.
Newkirk was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
