TOWN OF THOMPSON – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating a one-car fatal accident on Cold Spring Road one-half mile
south of Heins Road in the Town of Thompson.
The accident, around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, claimed the life of the driver,
identified as William King, 56, of Loch Sheldrake. He was alone in the
Chevrolet minivan when it ran off the road and struck a tree.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
