New Paltz cabbie accused of forcible touching

NEW PALTZ – A New Paltz taxi driver was arrested on charges stemming from three incidents involving female college students and occurring in the Village of New Paltz while inside a vehicle.
Police charged Ayman Aboueida, 47, of Kingston with forcible touching, attempted forcible touching and harassment as a hate crime, all as misdemeanors.  He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
New Paltz Police began their investigation following several reports of students being harassed and touched in a sexual manner by the cab driver.
The investigation is continuing and New Paltz Police ask any other potential
victims to contact their detective division at 845-255-1357. All calls
