Poughkeepsie  school budget approved

POUGHKEEPSIE – By a 474 vote margin, residents in the Poughkeepsie City School District approved the 2017-18 budget on Tuesday.  A total of 1,226 people voted in favor of the $96.7 million spending plan while 752 opposed it.
Elected to the school board were Debra Long and Doreen Clifford.
