MIDDLETOWN – Outdoor cafes in Middletown will have several months to test outdoor live musical performances. The common council voted Tuesday night to allow the music on a trial basis until October 15.
Alderwoman Kate Ramkissoon had mixed feelings about the idea, but decided it was worth a try.
“I feel like this is a very low risk trial. It is an opportunity
to say we are definitely going to give this a shot,” Ramkissoon
said. “I think we have a balancing act here in the council between
our responsibility to our constituents and our responsibility to economic
development in the city.”
The vote for the trial run was six to two.
