HIGHLAND – A Marlboro resident is in the Ulster County Jail pending a future court appearance after being arrested a second time in two weeks.
Lloyd Town Police arrested Ernest Greiner, Jr., 46, on May 11 and charged him with felony burglary, petit larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
Police were called to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Diana Ridge Road in Highland after the homeowner reported coming home and finding a car in his driveway and a man coming out of his garage and putting property in his car.  The homeowner called 911 and police arrived within minutes and took Greiner into custody without incident.
All of the stolen property was recovered.
In the earlier incident, on April 28, Greiner was charged by Marlborough Town Police with menacing with a weapon. He was released on his own recognizance following that arrest.
