MONTICELLO – A Monticello
woman has been arrested by Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies after
she allegedly stole a bank bag-type pouch from a shopping cart at the
Wal-mart store in Monticello.

On April 9, a local group home for handicapped persons went to Wal- mart
to buy groceries. They forgot the pouch in the shopping cart when they
packed groceries in their vehicle. The bag contained a credit card, some
coupons and a couple of dollars.

Michelle Dye, 64, of Monticello was seen on store surveillance video taking
the bag.

When they tracked her down and interviewed her, the credit card was not
found, but no charges had been placed on it.

Dye was charged with grand larceny and was released on an appearance ticket
pending a future court appearance.
