BREWSTER – Guests arrived hungry as more than 300 jammed into the Starr Ridge Manor Banquet Hall in Brewster Saturday evening for the Patterson Rotary’s 21st annual “Men Who Cook” fundraiser.
Three dozen chefs impressed the guests with a tasting of their specialties ranging from appetizers to entrees and wonderful desserts.
Crowd pleasers included beef rouladen, hot smoked salmon, prime rib, smoked brisket, kosher corned beef, traditional paella, bread pudding, cream filled pastries and chocolate fudge.
Chef extraordinaire Mike Ingber has worked the event for all of the 21 years. “I love seeing people coming together and having fun,” he said.”
The evening is also critically important since the Patterson Rotary raises thousands of dollars to support a variety of groups and organizations ranging from food pantries to animal shelters, health initiatives, education and even the homeless.
