WURTSBORO – A Wurtsboro man is in to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail following his arrest on sex abuse charges.
Matthew Hassenmayer, 26, was charged with criminal sexual act, sexual abuse, possession of an obscene performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child. It is alleged he had sexual contact with a girl under the age of 11.
His arrest followed an investigation by the State Police Troop F Child Abuse Unit and the Orange and Sullivan County Child Protective Services.
