Investigation underway following Minisink High School threat

SLATE HILL – State Police
are looking into a rumor circulating among students of a potential threat
to the Minisink Valley High School on Friday (today).
Out of an abundance of caution, there was a police presence on the district’s main campus and Otisville campus on Thursday, school officials said. The instructional day for students was not be disrupted by police presence or their investigation.
“As always, we take any threat to the safety of our students and staff very seriously, and we are fully invested in coordinating efforts with law enforcement to investigate and remove any potential danger,” a school district official said.
All MV schools are open and on a normal schedule today.
