POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police
in Poughkeepsie are investigating a shooting in the area of 238 Church
Street where a 30-year-old local man was wounded in both legs.
Police said the man was shot once with the bullet penetrating both legs
in an incident that occurred around 2:51 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. The
wounds were not life threatening, police said.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he underwent treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was confronted by at least
two people, a struggle ensued over a handgun and the victim was shot during
the struggle.
