Three Vermont residents caught with drugs on the Taconic

CLAVERACK –State Police have arrested three Vermont residents following a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Claverack on Thursday. The Jeep in which they were riding was clocked at over 80 miles an hour.
The investigating officer detected an odor of marijuana and conducted a search with the assistance of K-9 Cahill. Found in the vehicle were Ketamine, cocaine, suboxone, marijuana wax and marijuana.
Arrested were Kwesi Wilson, 32, of Londonderry, Vermont; John Watson, 25, of Bennington, Vermont; and Chelsea Alexopoulus, 24, of Pawlet, Vermont.
Wilson, the driver, was charged with felony drug possession and speeding. Alexopoulos was charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession and unlawful possession of marijuana.  Watson was charged with felony drug possession and unlawful possession of marijuana as a violation.
All three were sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond each.
