MIDDLETOWN – With $500,000 appropriated by the Middletown Common Council, the city’s skateboard park should be underway in the near future.
Mayor Joseph DeStefano said final details are being worked out.
“The final design is being approved or reviewed by the rec department and the youth advisory board,” DeStefano said. “Once that is approved, we will give it the go ahead.”
A skateboard park in the City of Newburgh is also nearing final approvals and should be underway later this year.
