Two arrested on drug charges in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS – Armed with a search warrant, police arrested a man and woman in an apartment at 18 Elizabeth Street in Port Jervis on Thursday and charged them with drug possession.
Elizabeth Valles, 41, of that address was charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all as felonies.  Also arrested there was Kareem Valles, 41, who was charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of drugs.  Both are in the Orange County Jail without bail.
Heroin and cash were recovered during the search.
Agencies involved in the investigation were Port Jervis City and Deerpark Town Police, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group. The cases are being prosecuted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
