FAIR OAKS – A one-car rollover on Route 17 east between exits 119 and 118 in the Fair Oaks-Crawford area sent six people to Westchester Medical Center, two reported to be in serious condition. All of the occupants were said to be residents of the Village of Kiryas Joel.
The accident, which occurred Thursday evening, brought out first responders from Kiryas Joel and Catskills Hatzolah ambulance corps, local firefighters and State Police.
“Orange County should be proud of its emergency services people for their fast response and professionalism,” said Kiryas Joel Public Safety Director Moses Witriol.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
