WHITE PLAINS – A Purdy’s man was indicted Tuesday on 12 sexual assault-related charges.
Ronal Danilo Sandoval-Campos, 25, was charged with breaking into a 42-year-old woman’s Mount Kisco apartment on June 3, 2016 and raping her in her bed. As he fled, he dropped a gray hat he was wearing.
On August 21, 2016, he allegedly grabbed a 19-year-old woman after she arrived from New York City while walking from the Purdy’s train station. Her screams alerted a passerby, who responded and prevented her rape.  As the man ran from the scene, he dropped an orange baseball cap he was wearing.
DNA from the baseball caps linked the cases and investigated resulted in his arrest.
Sandoval-Campos was indicted on two counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, one count of burglary, one count of burglary as a sexually motivated offense, two counts of sexual abuse, one count of criminal obstruction of breathing, and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.  If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in state prison.
