POUGHKEEPSIE – The building that once housed a clothing manufacturer in years gone by has been transformed into housing and community space.
Hudson River Housing has completed its transformation of the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory on North Cherry Street into apartments and commercial space.
The $5 million project includes 7,000 square feet of commercial space and 15 affordable and market rate apartments. The renovated building includes a commercial kitchen, a coffee roaster and coffee house, and multi-purpose arts space.
Officials of Hudson River Housing and the city will hold a grand opening ceremony at the facility next Thursday.
