POUGHKEEPSIE – Two Poughkeepsie residents were arrested on Thursday following execution of a search warrant at an apartment at 150 Winnikee Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie.
The warrant was executed as the result of an investigation into illegal drug sales at that address.
As a result, police seized a loaded 9 mm handgun with a defaced serial number, a loaded 20-gauge shotgun, heroin, including heroin with fentanyl, cash and items used to prepare, package and sell drugs.
Lavon Chambers, 24, was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Ruby Willis, 26, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance as a felony and violation of state parole.
Both suspects live at that address.
