Bonacic
GREENVILLE – After representing the Greenville area of Orange County on the county legislature for 16 years, Melissa Bonacic said she is calling it quits.
In a Facebook posting, Bonacic wrote that, “Although a very difficult decision, I have decided not to seek another term for the 2nd Legislative District.”
Bonacic, the daughter of long-time State Senator John Bonacic, said her public service “has been a very rewarding experience.”
Most recently, Melissa Bonacic served as the Republican majority leader on the lawmaking body.
She did not return a phone call for comment on Friday.
