MONTICELLO – Effective this month, Sullivan County’s Safe Passage program will be run by Safe Homes of Orange County.
Safe Passage Director Donna Pennino is now the Sullivan County project coordinator for Safe Homes. The Sullivan County hotline for domestic violence services and assistance remains the same at 845-292-5700 and the program will continue to have an office at 100 North Street in Monticello with the same business number at 845-807-0397.
Program officials said Safe Homes of Orange County has provided backup and supportive shelter services to Sullivan residents for a number of years. The transition of domestic violence services is expected to support Sullivan residents at their time of need and will be bringing a comprehensive array of support services to domestic violence victims and their families.
