Brooklyn woman accused smuggling drugs into Fishkill prison

FISHKILL – A Brooklyn woman has been arrested and charged by State Police with felony promotion of prison contraband for bringing drugs to Fishkill Correctional Facility with the intent of providing them to an inmate.
Police also charged Evelyn Jimenez, 47, with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors of reckless endangerment and promoting prison contraband. She allegedly brought suboxone and synthetic marijuana into the prison on Sunday, March 5.
Jimenez was sent to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
