Bronx man arrested in Newburgh for illegal gun possession

NEWBURGH – A Bronx man is under arrest in the City of Newburgh after police officers found him in possession of a loaded .45 caliber handgun.
At around 12:21 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the area of South and Chambers streets for a report of shots fired. They spotted a vehicle, which stopped for a moment with the front seat passenger getting out and running into 168 Chambers.
Officers followed the man in and located Rohan Brown, 48, who was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon as well as criminal possession of marijuana as a misdemeanor as he was found in possession of 29 grams of the drug.
