SUNY Sullivan dean charged with stealing from college

LOCH SHELDRAKE – The dean of students at Sullivan County Community
College has been arrested and charged with stealing over $9,000 from the
Loch Sheldrake school.

State police alleged that John Agnelli, 42, of Loch Sheldrake, had made
charges for personal expenses on a college credit card.

He was arrested on Friday, March 3 and charged with felony grand larceny.

Following arraignment, Agnelli was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail
in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Agnelli began working at the college on January 3, 2017. His scope of
duties includes providing leadership for areas including Admissions, the
Learning Center, Student Activities, Health Services and Athletics. The
position also facilitates the student discipline process.
